Dryktia (pronounced drick-tea-uh) is an original character that came to me in a dream. She is a Fae (not to be confused with Fey!) Goddess of Nature.
In this particular scene captured here, Dryktia has broken free of the magical chains that humans have used to imprison her so they can demolish the forests and ruthlessly kill the animals of her domain. She’s out for revenge.
I really enjoyed playing around with the extreme lighting and shadows in this piece.
I do hope to continue this series with the rest of the gods and goddesses I have inside my head!
